The Museum of History in Karlovo has a rich library of scientific, popular science, fiction, encyclopaedias, dictionaries, guides, specialized periodicals in the field of history, archaeology, ethnography, art, museum literature in Bulgarian and in foreign languages.

All materials are available only in the museum. For service, inquiries, photocopies, photo or video capture, scanning a cash receipt or an invoice is issued as per the Tariff for Fees Collected in Museums, NIICH and SS. Cyril and Methodius National Libraryfor the performance of services and for the issuance of documents and duplicates (Prom. SG, No. 84 of 28 October 2011, amended and supplemented, SG No. 55 of 20 July 2012, amended and supplemented, SG No. 84 of September 27, 2013).
